Driftwoods is a beautiful home located near Jeffreys Bay, South Africa.
Located in a privately-owned nature reserve, Driftwoods is within very short walking distance of a beautiful, secluded beach. The house has an open-plan design, with bedrooms that are set aside, making it easy to gather socially and retreat for some quiet time. The location is as exclusive as it gets. Access to an unspoilt beach, that stretches to Paradise beach and the Kromme river. Days are spent walking, swimming, eating, playing board games and reading a book. The sounds of the ocean, a fire cracking at night and owls calling at night is all that you will hear.
The house is designed to create u-shape space around the barbeque and outdoor table area, thereby creating a a very sheltered space outdoors. The house has an open-plan design with one bedroom accessed via the main house and the other two bedrooms set-aside and accessed via the deck. The house runs on solar panels and all the water is from rainwater tanks located underneath the house. You need a vehicle that can travel on a good gravel road. The neighborhood has birds, buck and beautiful flowering plants. From the house to Jeffrey's Bay is approximately 30 minutes commute, travelling via Paradise beach and Aston bay. You can take a gravel road from Paradise beach towards St Francis bay - the road is combination of gravel and tar and the commute takes approximately 30 minutes.

Peace and quiet
Driftwoods is absolutely magical for anyone who wants to get away from it all in pristine nature. The house is beautifully built with wood and lots of exquisite views from many angles. If you are looking for peace and quiet, quality family time, a digital detox and lots of nature and ocean time then this is the place for you.
Absolutely magical
This was one of the most special and beautiful places we’ve been. The house is remote in a nature reserve (watch out for crossing deers and turtles :))! There is a path to a private beach. You may encounter a few people there, but most of the time it is empty you have it to yourself. The house itself is perfect. You can clearly see it is built by people who know the way you spend time there. The v-shape helps to shield from the wind, and allows for beautiful nights at the fire (braai) pit. We had a great time - and did not want to leave. Hope to return one day.
